Building Environmentally Friendly and High-Quality "Towns"

Floral Avenue Ogaki Green Town is the first to conform to the ordinance set forth by Ogaki City, Gifu that promotes greening.

This subdivision maintains a greening ratio of more than 20% (prescribed in the ordinance), and has designated tall trees and hedges around pathways to the entrance and along the roadside, based on our own guidelines, to create a characteristic street landscape.

A large green space to promote resident communication is also being arranged. In this subdivision, every subdivision house and about 90% of the sites zoned for residential use are certified as environmentally friendly houses by the Institute for Building Environment and Energy Saving.

We continue to engage in promoting environmentally friendly houses and building green towns.

Conserving and Regenerating Nature and Opening to the Community Monument Square : Environmentally Friendly Rental Apartments
Monument Square is a three-story, one-basement rental apartment complex in Minamimagome, Ota Ward, Tokyo that was completed in December 2001. Many 180-year-old Japanese zelkova and castanopsis trees have been left on site, and other trees have been growing again after being temporarily displaced. There are parking spaces below ground to allow for more green areas, and a babbling stream and pond for water-lovers on the grounds. Four years after completion, there are now killifish, frogs and dragonflies in the pond, and birds feed and rest in trees located in the inner garden. The pleasant inner garden is open to residents and neighbors as a public space where local children can play close to nature.
