Environmental Management System
Daiwa House Group developed an environmental management system and drives forward environmental activities through all of our business activities.
Actional Structure for Environmental Management

Environmental Management System
Based on our Environmental Policy, Environmental Activity Priority Themes and Environmental Principles, as specified in our environmental vision, we pursue activities to reduce environmental impact. When implementing activities, we create a semiannual plan, self-evaluate the achievements, report the results to executives, and review the results to keep making improvements.
Organizational Structure for Environmental Management
We have created a company-wide environmental promotion committee chaired by an officer in charge of environmental initiatives to discuss and decide the direction of sought-after environmental activities at a semiannual meeting.
All 13 Factories Acquired ISO14001 Certification
From April 1998 to July 2001, all 13 factories and the production/purchasing division obtained ISO14001 certification (international standards for environmental management systems). Based on these standards, we will keep improving our businesses to reduce environmental impact.

Conducting Internal Audits/Waste Audits
We conduct various audits to ensure the implementation of the environmental management system and legislative compliance at our offices. For example, a semiannual internal audit is carried out at each of our 13 factories and at the production/purchasing division to determine whether their systems meet the ISO14001 requirements, and they report the results to executives as well as revise the systems.
At our branches, we conduct regular waste audits to confirm that they properly consign waste disposal and that contract documents are adequate.
