In 1959, Daiwa House Industry introduced to the world the “Midget House,” the so-called starting point of prefabricated housing. Over the next half century, the Company has developed steel-frame and wooden single-family housing while refining its house-building techniques and expertise.
We offer a diverse product lineup. This includes the flagship “xevo Σ(sigma)” which has a high degree of seismic resistance capabilities that allow it to withstand even repeated major earthquakes, while achieving comfort through External Heat Insulation and the roomy spaciousness that comes with high ceilings of 2m72cm. There is also the wooden single-family housing product “xevo GranWood”, which are made from domestic wood. “Wood Residence MARE”, our highest-grade of single-family houses, employes a mixed structure combining wood and reinforced concrete. Our “xevo M3” line features lightweight, steel-framed, three-storied single-family houses that are compliant with ZEH standards. Our other products include the “skye” line, which features heavy steel-framed construction for three-, four-, and five-story homes. We offer the optimal plan that fits in with the vision you have for your future, not only for dedicated residences, but also for combined rental residences, stores, and clinics.
“Smart Made Housing” is a line of standard houses and semi-custom houses that provide customers the design freedom to choose their desired floor plan and quality level for exterior and interior and fixtures while incorporating standard designs to provide price savings.
In addition, we are also developing the SECUREA brand of houses in housing development projects. This brand offers “Ready Made Housing.” with custom-built house quality that realizes high-quality, long-term guarantees and ZEH standard specifications by leveraging our expertise in custom-built houses. In this way, we are promoting sustainable home building and urban development.
In housing construction, our designers, interior coordinators and other professional staff give form to customers’ needs based on comprehensive proposal capabilities together with our sales staff. Even after they’ve moved in, we provide support for many years to come to residents for safe and comfortable living through detail-oriented after-servuce and long-term guarantees.
Based on a cumulative total of approximately 1.25 million rental housing units* supplied under the D-ROOM brand nationwide, we have developed products that anticipate the needs of tenants and the times, and as a pioneer in prefabricated housing, provide tenants with the satisfaction of “owner-occupied quality.” We will contribute to the realization of carbon neutrality in 2050 through the development of the urban-type rental housing GRACA and mid-to-high-rise rental housing, as well as the increasing prevalence of ZEH-M.In March 2025, we also launched sales of THE STATELY, a line of heavy steel, rigid frame three- and four-story rental houses. Not only is this product line compliant with ZEH-M standards, these houses are also designed to the highest earthquake resistance level, seismic grade 3, representing the first Daiwa House rental housing product to feature this level of earthquake resistance as part of standard specifications.
Based on the philosophy of “a true relationship begins after construction,” and in a three-company collaboration between Daiwa House Industry, Daiwa Living and Daiwa House Chintai Reform, we are providing to land owners “Yuyu Support/DAPS,” a framework in which owners can engage in rental housing management with peace of mind. In addition to the mainstay service of periodic building diagnosis after delivery, we support the owner’s long-term stable management through asset succession consulting by specialists and management and operation on behalf of the owner. We also provide opportunities for owners to exchange information among themselves, such as by developing owner associations throughout Japan.

In our Retail and Wholesale Facilities Business, we employ the LOC System for effective land utilization that jointly meets the needs of land owners looking to secure tax planning and profitability through effective real estate utilization, together with tenant companies seeking potential sites for new business development.
The LOC System utilizes Daiwa House Industry’s nationwide information network to accumulate information on land and store openings. This system proposes optimal business plans based on a wealth of know-how and in-depth research, and also provides total production services, including building design and construction.
Both land owners and tenant companies are enabled to conduct stable business over the long term, contributing to new community development and regional revitalization.
We also flexibly respond to various real estate needs, including supporting real estate sales, new property acquisition, and brokerage services for the sale and renovation of commercial real estate.
The General Construction Business has its roots in the Pipe House, a warehouse offered as our founding product in 1955, and now builds offices, factories, and other business facilities for corporate clients. Currently, we are contributing to the development of local lifestyle infrastructure by promoting the development of logistics facilities (DPL) and industrial parks (D-Project Industry) both in Japan and overseas. Our specialized staff provide one-stop production for the construction of a wide range of business facilities, including logistics facilities, medical and nursing care facilities, food factories, and pharmaceutical facilities as well as provide land utilization proposals.
Utilizing our technological acumen and marketing capabilities, we contribute to the spread of renewable energy by focusing on EPC, the business for design and construction of power plants for renewable energy, PPS, our electric power retail business, and IPP, the renewable energy power generation business for solar, wind, and hydroelectric power.
EPC is the abbreviation for engineering, procurement and construction.
PPS is the abbreviation for power producer and supplier. It generally refers to new electric power.
IPP is the abbreviation for independent power producer. It refers to a business operator with power generation facilities which sells electricity.
We began overseas business in the 1960s and have expanded operations since the 2010s. Currently, we operate in 25 countries and regions(*), including the US, Europe, Oceania, China, and ASEAN countries based on our founder’s vision of “provide society with businesses that benefit the world.” In the housing sector, we will contribute to resolving housing shortages in major cities, primarily in the US, Oceania, and Europe.
