Environmental Action Plan
Endless Green Program

Backcasting from the long-term environmental vision, the Daiwa House Group has set milestones for 2035 for achieving the vision. We formulate concrete targets and plans as the Endless Green Program (EGP) every three to five years in accordance with the period of our medium-term management plan to drive progress toward these milestones.
In the EGP, we identify “four environmental themes,” which are of much interest to stakeholders and closely related to our business, and we work on them at three phases: procurement; business activities; and products and services.

Establishing targets through "backcasting"

In identifying the targets for our four themes introduced above, we applied the technique of "backcasting" for the Long-Term Environmental Vision we formulated in the runup to our 100th anniversary in 2055*. We have identified the period 2035 as our milestones, and have indicated the levels to be attained after four years.

Environmental Action Plan
(Endless Green Program 2029)

We developed the Endless Green Program 2029 (EGP 2029, which runs from FY2026 to FY2029) by backcasting from the milestones we had set for 2035. For each of EGP2029’s four priority themes and three stages, we have established key initiatives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive progress.

Basic policies of Endless Green Program 2029

  • Strengthen efforts to reduce greenhouse gases emissions to help achieve carbon neutrality across the entire value chain.
    • In products and services, for single-family housing, rental housing, and condominiums for sale in Japan, we are taking on the challenge of introducing the even higher performance “GX ZEH(-M) Series,” while promoting energy efficiency in single-family housing outside Japan.
    • In business activities, we ensure ZEB-compliance, install solar power generation equipment, and use renewable electricity at our owned facilities, in principle, while promoting electrification through the introduction of clean-energy vehicles (CEVs).
    • In procurement, we propose energy-saving and renewableenergy solutions to help suppliers reduce their greenhouse gases emissions and promote the adoption of low-carbon building materials.
  • Work to minimize the input of depletable resources to help realize a circular economy.
    • Create:
Promote the use of recycled materials in new buildings.
    • Use:
Promote inspections, renovation work, and buybackand-resale that help extend the service life of existing buildings.
    • Revitalize:
Promote the material recycling of plastic waste generated in the construction business.
